Askone is a planet in Isaac Asimov's Foundation series.

The planet Askone is located on the outskirts of the galaxy. It gained independence after the fragmentation of the Galactic Empire. It fought against Imperial soldiers in a revolution and captured several Imperial Navy ships for its own benefit. A religious domain was established on this planet, and it was believed to possess technology with mystical powers, which is why a Foundation merchant sold a nuclear device, taking advantage of the superstition of the local population.
It was ruled by a religious order led by a Grand Master and the Five Tribes, who used faith to control the population with severe punishments for those who disobeyed.
When the Foundation began to influence Askone, the authority of the religious order diminished.
