The Auroran World Legislative Assembly is the supreme governing and deliberative body of the Spacer planet Aurora. It is a unicameral assembly composed of elected representatives who debate and vote on planetary policy, as the Head Office of the Legislature of Aurora.
The Assembly is the center of Auroran political life, where major issues such as interstellar colonization policy, scientific funding, and diplomatic relations with other worlds (including Earth) are decided. While theoretically bound by its own statutes, the Assembly's proceedings are heavily influenced by custom and the need to build consensus behind the scenes, a practice solidified after the near-disastrous River Controversy. Its sessions are presided over by the President of the Assembly, and its official seat is in the capital city, Eos.
