Asimov

Biron Farrill is a character from the Isaac Asimov's Empire series.

About Biron[]

Biron Farrill was the son and heir of the Rancher of Widemos, a noble title from the planet Widemos. He was studying at the University of Earth and was nearing graduation when his life was violently upended. An attempt on his life, coupled with the news of his father's execution by the Tyranni, forced him to flee Earth and set a course for the planet Rhodia, a world under Tyranni control, to uncover the truth behind these events.

While studying at the University of Earth, he operated under the alias Biron Malaine. This pseudonym was a necessary precaution to conceal his noble identity from the agents of the Tyranni Empire, which had already targeted his family for their defiance.

The attempt on his life under this alias and the news of his father's execution catalyzed his journey to Rhodia and his involvement in the plot against the Tyranni. After the events of the rebellion, he abandoned the alias along with his title, settling on Rhodia with Artemisia oth Hinriad.

On Rhodia, Farrill became entangled in the politics of the Hinriad court. He allied himself with Artemisia oth Hinriad, the daughter of the puppet Director Hinrik V, and her eccentric "uncle", Hinrik's cousin, Gillbret oth Hinriad. Together, they embarked on a desperate search for the mysterious "rebellion world" rumored to be preparing a stand against the Tyranni Empire. Farrell's resolve and actions were crucial to the mission's success. It can be firmly stated that his decisive intervention foiled a dangerous conspiracy by Sander Jonti, the Autarch of Lingane, who was manipulating events for his own political gain rather than the genuine liberation of the Nebular Kingdoms.

Through these events, Farrill and Artemisia fell in love. With the Tyranni threat neutralized and a genuine rebellion now ignited, Biron Farrell abandoned his title and life on Widemos. He settled on Rhodia with Artemisia, finding a new home and purpose after avenging his father and helping to break the grip of tyranny on the sector.
