Bor Alurin is a Trantorian psychologist and a founding mentalic pioneer of the Second Foundation. A kind-faced and strong-jawed man whose myopic, studious appearance masked a powerful mind, Bor Alurin had always felt a sense of profound difference from those around him but never understood its source. His life was irrevocably changed when he was psychically located and contacted by Wanda Seldon and Stettin Palver in a bustling commercial area of Trantor's Ery Sector. He immediately responded to their mentalic summons, a moment that provided him with the answer to his lifelong feeling of isolation. As a professional psychologist, he was uniquely positioned to understand the significance of his abilities and eagerly agreed to join Hari Seldon's Psychohistory Project, abandoning his current practice without hesitation.
