Cinna is a planet from Isaac Asimov's Foundation series.

About Cinna[]

Cinna is the native planet of R. Dors Venabili. It has one sun. Is an agricultural and livestock-raising planet on the outskirts of the Galactic Empire. It lacks political or strategic importance and is under the control of the Imperial administration. It has local universities capable of granting doctorates; Dors Venabili, its most famous inhabitant, graduated from one of these before moving to Trantor. The society is peaceful and considered boring, with a rural lifestyle, homes with individual kitchens and bathrooms, and an economy based on farms and livestock. Approximately a quarter of the population practices the religion of tritheism. The culture is more permissive regarding informality than on worlds like Helicon, with liberal summer vacation customs and beaches. The local language retains ancient terms, such as "Dors," meaning "spring's gift." Cinna is remembered only for his relationship with Dors Venabili and, through her, with Hari Seldon.
